The Wall Street Journal is better than ever Otto: It’s not my fault, the drinking fountain dared me to do it.Ĭolby Kraus: You have what made America great: no understanding of the limits of your power and a complete lack of concern for what anyone thinks of you. Principal Skinner: Well it seems someone was riding the giant tortoise naked. Milhouse: Principal Skinner, why did we have to leave the Learn-and-Touch Reptile Zoo so early? Homer: Bart, I’ll need some clean urine, STAT! Waxman, you’re a genius!Ĭolby Kraus (Stephen Colbert): That’s not my name. Burns: Now let’s enjoy the Miami of Canada: Chicago! Anything except sex! And I do mean “anything”. Burns: And just so you know, she’ll do anything for you. I just wish I’d spent more time at the office. I will not wait twenty years to make another movie Still, I think it was a smart decision to not beat us over the head about what Marge's plan was, or even how they managed to switch Lou and Homer.Īll in all, there were holes that could have been filled up, but this was still a fun episode, a guilty-pleasure if you will for this season.User Review 1.5 ( 2 votes) He Loves to Fly and He D’ohs I do think that we didn't need the scene of Homer in the slaughterhouse near the end, since I felt it was unnecessary to introduce an element of danger that would divert attention away from the main story and action. I thought the story did a pretty good job for the most part of keeping things going and getting the family involved, and I was afraid there would be a filler subplot, but they wisely kept away from it. There were occasional clunkers like Bart growing hair on his arm, but I laughed out loud a lot between "Lisa's brother", the sock puppets, Laughter House, and the last line, even though it was to be expected. Still, the comedy in this episode was very good. The story kept hinting that she was going to have more to her character and would add something more substantial to the plot, especially in that scene where it appears she doesn't want to go along with the marriage, but in the end there she added nothing. I did laugh at Bart trying to get rid of Lou and the gags with Ralph, but then there was Mary, who was by far the most disappointing thing about the episode. Things took a little while to get going, between that very long, out-of-date, and unfunny Transformers sequence at the beginning, and then not one, but two montage sequences which had some funny moments, but as a whole really rushed things. Not bad considering that the synopsis made this episode sound terrible. This was a flawed episode, no doubt about it, but I laughed quite a bit and it was definitely one of the more entertaining episodes this season. I guess it'll pop up as a deleted scene when this episode makes it to DVD? for two weeks." Apparently that scene was never shown. I'll still have to say tonight's King of the Hill was a tad better, but this episode beat Family Guy tonight.ĮDIT: I saw a promo for this episode earlier today with Homer dodging cleavers and saying "I'm not eating meat. Still, I found most of the episode to be rather entertaining. Is Zooey Deschanel a southern woman? Because that's how Mary sounded in the episode. The only downsides to this episode was the idea of a marriage proposal (just like Little Big Girl, Marge stops a Bart-wedding in the nick of time), the two timesTress MacNeille was mentioned (I didn't get it), and Bart mentioning Barry Bonds and the steroids issue. I thought I saw him in Act 3, but it could have easily been another identical-looking pig to get the viewer's attention. (I mean, come on, he's only 10 years old!) Also of note, the pigs portrayed in the episode all looked like Plopper. The idea of Bart joining the 4-H Club just because he wanted to operate some vehicle seemed typical of him. The episode didn't have a Futurama-feel to it, but I actually thought it was a good episode altogether.Īct 1 was near-perfect, with Bart being in character and all. He wrote the Futurama episode "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles," but his most recent script before tonight was Kill Gil. I usually check to see who the writer is in Act 1 to see if it'll be good or not. Well this was a bit of a surprise for me.
